Environmental and climate protection

The pilgrimage town of Kevelaer sees the topics of "environmental and climate protection, climate adaptation and energy management" as an important task for the town and its administration. A number of initiatives and projects have already been implemented with regard to the rational handling and use of energy in the municipality. Measures to save energy, reduce greenhouse gases and use renewable energies are improving the municipal energy system and reducing the burden on the climate and the environment. Funding programs and other activities of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer are also intended to invite the population to actively participate in environmental and climate protection.
