As a general rule, the police emergency number 110 should only be dialed in dangerous situations for yourself or another person. If, on the other hand, there is a dangerous medical situation, 112 is the correct emergency number to call.

  • Contact points in the event of a blackout in the Kleve district

The district of Kleve plays a coordinating role in setting up the aforementioned contact points (lighthouses, emergency information points and emergency call points). The specific designation and scope of services are the responsibility of the towns and municipalities.

Lighthouses in the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer are supplied with emergency power. They serve as central points of contact for citizens in need or who require information in the event of a blackout.

They also provide information for the public. They also act as liaison points between citizens seeking help and the emergency services of the pilgrimage town and the district of Kleve.

They also act as emergency call points.

The digital map of the lighthouses in the Kleve district can be found at: https://geoportal-niederrhein.de/portal/kreis_kleve/blackout/

    Note:

The contact points mentioned are not permanent facilities. They are staffed by the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer in the event of an emergency.

  • Integration portal of the district of Kleve

One of the major goals of the Kleve district is the successful integration of migrants living here. In order to achieve this goal, the integration project "Breaking new ground together - Step 1: WE are there for each other" was launched in 2008. One result of the project is the development and publication of an integration portal.

The barrier-free integration portal of the district of Kleve contains, among other things, many integration offers from institutions, associations, clubs and migrant self-organizations - available in eight different languages.

  • Arbitration office

    Arbitrators

True to the motto "Arbitration is better than judgment!", arbitrators in the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer also mediate disputes on a voluntary basis. The aim of the arbitrators is to bring about an amicable and inexpensive settlement between the parties involved. The arbitrators are responsible for conducting arbitration proceedings, both in civil disputes( e.g. disputes with neighbors - "legal problems at the garden boundary") and in various criminal cases(e. g. trespassing, insults, violation of the secrecy of correspondence, threats, etc.).

The urban area of Kevelaer is divided into two arbitration districts - West and East. The border here runs for the area of the Kevelaer East arbitration district east of the railroad line with the villages of Winnekendonk, Wetten and Kervenheim. The remaining area belongs to the Kevelaer-West arbitration district.
