Youth Welfare Committee

The youth welfare committee is part of the youth welfare office. For municipalities that have their own youth welfare office, the formation of a youth welfare committee is prescribed by law in the German Social Code, which means that it is a mandatory committee.

The core tasks of the Youth Welfare Committee are also enshrined in the German Social Code. The committee deals with all matters relating to youth welfare, in particular fundamental issues and possible solutions to current problems faced by young people and their families.

It deals with suggestions and proposals for the further development of youth welfare, youth welfare planning and the promotion and participation of independent organizations. In addition, the Council can assign further tasks to the Youth Welfare Committee. The tasks of the youth welfare committee of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer are regulated in the statutes of the youth welfare office of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer.

The composition of the Youth Welfare Committee in the current legislative period can be found in the council information system of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer.
