Lunch meeting Kevelaer
The "Municipal after-school lunch club" is a children's and youth work facility and is located in the building at Kroatenstraße 87 in 47623 Kevelaer - directly at the school center in the immediate vicinity of the two secondary schools.
Type and content of the childcare services
After school and on school-free days, the Mittagstreff offers after-school care for children who attend one of the two secondary schools in the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer. Vacation care is also offered.
Homework supervision is a time-consuming and important part of the work at the lunch club, alongside regular lunches in the canteen, a lively leisure program and a varied vacation program.
Opening hours
Children and young people can visit the facility from Monday to Friday after school until 17:00. On school-free days and during the vacations, the facility is open from 8:00 am.
The facility is closed for three weeks during the summer vacations (company vacations) and for one week during the Christmas vacations. The exact closing times will be communicated in advance.
Childcare contract and parental contribution
The parents/guardians conclude a childcare contract with the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer. A parental contribution (monthly childcare costs) is payable for participation in the services offered by the facility. The amount of the monthly parental contribution for the lunch meeting is based on the determined income according to the following income groups:

The actual income of a calendar year in the year in which the contribution is due is decisive for determining the contribution. Proof of income must be provided accordingly. The parental contribution is determined by notice from the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer.
Participation in regular lunches
The childcare offer basically includes the daily guarantee of a regular lunch. Participation in this offer is on a voluntary basis. The costs incurred for lunch must be paid additionally and are settled directly via the provider "SOS-Kinderdorf Niederrhein".
