Adult education center

The towns of Goch and Kevelaer and the municipalities of Uedem and Weeze have joined together to form a special-purpose adult education association. The office of the adult education center is located in 47574 Goch, Hevelingstraße 123 and can be reached by telephone on 02823 6060.

Some courses also take place in Kevelaer, in the Öffentliche Begegnungsstätte, Bury St. Edmunds-Straße 5.

The Adult Education Center bases its work on the Continuing Education Act of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the statutes of the VHS-Zweckverband. The VHS is ideologically and party-politically neutral. The offer is versatile, needs-oriented, comprehensive and generally accessible.

The Adult Education Center focuses on personal development and "lifelong learning" for private and professional purposes. This includes the teaching of personal and social skills for people who are striving to expand their intellectual, cultural, health and practical life skills.

The VHS offers around 400 courses, individual events, compact seminars and study trips every semester. Registrations for the events can be made directly at the VHS and can also be processed via the Internet. In the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer, registrations are accepted at the town hall, citizens' office.
