Citizen buses in Kevelaer and the villages

More than 160 volunteer drivers on the Kevelaer pilgrimage city bus routes ensure that the connection between the villages of Kervenheim, Winnekendonk, Wetten and Twisteden and the city center of Kevelaer is provided for around 13 hours a day.

Passengers are transported in a 9-seater bus from the village to the center of Kevelaer and back, of course, so that mobility is maintained, especially for older people. Shopping, visits to the doctor or simply to "quack" to Kevelaer - no problem with the community bus!
But young people also use the service because they have to go to secondary school or want to meet friends.

News from the villages, the community bus as a moving "newspaper", a friendly word from the drivers characterize the good cooperation between old and young. The volunteers on the community bus routes are organized in local associations. The community buses run according to a fixed timetable. You can find more information about the community buses, contact details for the associations as well as fares and timetables to download on the Kevelaer public utilities website.
