Working for the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer

Pupils get to know the city administration

After a brief introduction by the mayor to the 15 different training opportunities offered by the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer, the youth and trainee representative Jakob Tauchmann also welcomed the group. Current trainees from the town then gave an insight into their training and professional fields in the form of short presentations and small tasks.

This was followed by a tour of the concert and stage building with the event technology trainee and a tour of the St. Jakob brine garden with an employee of Kevelaerer Stadtwerke. This gave the pupils a comprehensive insight into the diverse tasks of the various work areas in one morning.

The program of career exploration days has been offered by the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer since 2017. These one-day taster placements allow pupils to get to know different professions and occupational fields in one day.
