Kevelaer is the first of the "100 most beautiful cities in Germany"

Excitement is building as the date for a new TV format draws closer. "On May 28, 2024, television can be experienced live in Kevelaer, because on this day Sonnenklar.TV will go on air live from Kevelaer from 10 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.," says Verena Rohde, Business Development Manager and Head of Kevelaer Marketing. The backdrop will be Kapellenplatz, from where the brand new series will reach millions of viewers at home.

Being up close and personal

Have a look over the cameraman's shoulder? Take a close look at the well-known presenter Michael "Goofy" Förster? Get a taste of television? It's free and uncomplicated on Kevelaer's centerpiece, the wonderful Kapellenplatz. Four Kevelaer interview partners will reveal their knowledge about the pilgrimage town and their favorite places, while the restaurateurs Kävelse Lüj, Café Nederkorn and Eiscafé Europa will be offering great deals. Many stores support the event with special offers. For example, "Landhausmode Biesemann" is offering sales promotions and discounts for customers in traditional costume, while jeweler Veronika Ophey is giving away five small grace chapels as necklace pendants. Another special highlight will be the autograph session with the presenter at around 12:15. So it's worth making your way to the city center between 10 am and 12:30 pm.

Win two balloon rides

There will also be a competition organized by Kevelaer Marketing. The main prize is two balloon rides with the Kevelaer ascent team to enjoy a bird's eye view of the first of the "100 most beautiful cities in Germany". There are also KevelaerCards and Sonnenklar.TV vouchers to be won. Participation cards are only available on this day in the stores around Kapellenplatz.

Be sure to note the date

Anyone who is now looking forward to the day should mark it in red in their calendar. Combined with a shopping spree and a delicious coffee, nothing stands in the way of a perfect and unique day.
