Atmospheric lighting and numerous Christmas trees adorn the "Kevelaerer Krippenmarkt". But what would the trees be without festive decorations? At the opening of the market on November 29, 2024, at 11 a.m., kindergartens and primary school classes from Kevelaer have the special task of decorating the fir trees on Kapellenplatz with their home-made decorations.
There were no limits to creativity
Many little artists have been crafting and painting with dedication over the last few weeks. Stars, snowflakes and angels made from a wide variety of materials will soon make the "Kevelaerer Krippenmarkt" shine in vibrant colors. "The lovingly crafted tree decorations are a highlight every year and delight visitors to the 'Krippenmarkt'," says a delighted Verena Rohde, Business Development Manager and Head of Kevelaer Marketing. From the "Spielgruppe Vergissmeinnicht" and the "Kindergarten Spatzennest" to the "Evangelischer JONA-Kindergarten" and the "Kindertagesstätte St. Hubertus", many institutions have taken part, as have the "Familienzentrum Sternschnuppe", the "Kindertagesstätte am Broeckhof" and three classes from the "St. Antonius Grundschule". The special tree decorations can be admired at the "Kevelaerer Krippenmarkt" until December 22, 2024.
