As previously reported, on November 25, the International Day against Violence against Women (also known as Orange Day), there will be a joint campaign by the Sozialdienst katholischer Frauen (SkF) im Kreis Kleve e. V. and the Equal Opportunities Officer of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: SkF information stand next to Müller (Hauptstr. 38) and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Visible action by the SkF and the Equal Opportunities Officer in front of the Diakonie's "Neuland" advice store (Hauptstr. 26)
Some experts from other institutions (women's counseling center, district police) have also already agreed to come to the main street in Kevelaer on November 25. Citizens and all interested parties are cordially invited to come and talk to those involved on November 25.
The campaign is spreading
There is also growing support for setting visible signs: from November 25, the windows of Kevelaer town hall will be illuminated in orange and the windows in the town center, for example, will use orange hands and speech bubbles to draw attention to the many forms of violence, but also to offers of help. In addition to the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer and the SkF, the following institutions and stores in Kevelaer are also taking part:
AWO Seniorenbüro Helma hilft, Bäckerei Kamps, Buchhandlung Bercker, Bücherstube Aengenheyster, Caritasverband, Diakonie, Elektro Heckens, Kevelaerer Kaffeehaus, Modehaus Kaenders, StoffQULT.
Participation in the campaign is still possible
