Fabulous creatures, magicians, conjurers, sleight-of-hand artists and illusionists will be making their way into Kevelaer city center on 8 December 2024 between 12 noon and 6 pm. Visitors will be whisked away into a fantastic world and offered exciting entertainment at "Magical Kevelaer". The stores in the city center will also be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., inviting visitors to stroll and enjoy. A perfect opportunity to browse for the last Christmas presents.
Offers for the whole family
Magic and illusion are the order of the day at "Magical Kevelaer". Magicians will be set up at various locations in Busmannstrasse and Hauptstrasse to present their various tricks and amaze young and old alike. Stilt walkers will be seen several times in the city center, creating excitement with their beautiful costumes decorated with mirrors. The elf and stag walking acts will bring a touch of Christmas magic, and it's not just their size that will cause a stir. The theater choir will also be dressing up again and will once again delight audiences with their performance of "Christmas Carol". In the "Niederrheinisches Museum", young visitors can look forward to an exciting craft workshop between 12 noon and 4 p.m. on the theme of magic. In this fairytale workshop, magic wands, fairy wings, dragon helmets, royal crowns and fantasy masks will be made to become part of the fantastic world of "Magical Kevelaer".
Side trip to the "Kevelaerer Krippenmarkt"
From November 29 to December 22, the "Kevelaerer Krippenmarkt" opens its huts and stalls. A visit to the cozy and traditional market is a must when strolling through the magical city center on 8 December. On Luxemburger Platz, Kapellenplatz and in the Forum Pax Christi, numerous traders await visitors with their wares for sale, a wide range of gastronomic offerings and, of course, the living nativity scene with nativity play.
