Last Friday, the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer hosted a construction site party at Peter-Plümpe-Platz to celebrate the completion of the Bürgerplatz and to thank citizens, residents and local businesses for their patience during the construction work.
Around 250 people accepted the invitation and spent a convivial Friday afternoon in the best fall weather on the new Bürgerplatz.
DJ Maddis provided relaxed lounge music in the background and Mr. Lehmann's team provided visitors with delicious food and drinks. The construction site mascot "Grubi" was a popular photo motif for the youngest guests. They were able to color the KeveLama and Grubi in the blue construction site wagon, which was converted into a children's corner. Equipped with a large tent, comfortable lounge furniture and bar tables with large parasols, the area next to the construction site was a real eye-catcher. "The construction site festival offered a great foretaste of the possibilities that the new Bürgerplatz offers for future events," said Mayor Dr. Dominik Pichler. The pilgrimage town of Kevelaer would like to thank everyone who was there and took part!
