The Kevelaer indoor pool is celebrating its 50th birthday! The pilgrimage town of Kevelaer and the swimming pool association cordially invite young and old to a special weekend full of water, fun and exercise. On Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6, there will be a variety of events and courses for the whole family in and around the indoor pool. All events are free of charge. However, participation in the courses and the pool party is only possible with prior registration due to the limited number of participants.
On Saturday evening, there will be music by Leni Wasser and atmospheric pool lighting by the LIGHTON company in the indoor pool. The team from Konzert- und Bühnenhaus will also take care of lighting the outdoor areas of the pools and the facade of the indoor pool.
Great taster courses and aqua fitness take place in the morning on Sunday. The big pool party in cooperation with ZEPHYRUS Bäder-Events GmbH then starts at 1 pm. The pool party is particularly aimed at children and young people aged 6 to 14. Parents can take part in the event with their children, but registration is also required. All participants must be able to swim.
The SSG Kevelaer and the KSV will provide barbecue stands for the physical well-being of visitors on the day.
Construction of the Kevelaer indoor pool was completed in 1974. Even then, the indoor pool had a swimmer's pool with five lanes and a size of 25 x 12.50 meters. At the end of 2019, the added multi-purpose pool measuring 8.00 x 12.50 meters was inaugurated, making it possible to offer additional courses and club activities.

09:00 - 10:00: Taster diving, badge offer with the DLRG, and aquafit course/water gymnastics of the disabled sports community
10:00 - 11:00 a.m.: Taster diving, DLRG badge offer, KSV aquafit course
11:00 - 12:30: Aquafit course of the sports education center and barbecue stand in the outdoor area
12:00 p.m.: Official welcome
13:00 - 17:00: Pool party with ZEPHYRUS Bäder-Events GmbH
