Three new outdoor fitness trails for Kevelaer

On Monday, Silke Gorißen, Minister for Agriculture and Consumer Protection of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, visited Kevelaer and presented Mayor Dr. Dominik Pichler with a funding notification from the funding program for structural and village development. With a grant of almost 58,000 euros, the state government is supporting the construction of three new outdoor fitness trails in the villages of Twisteden, Kervenheim and Wetten in the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer on the lower left bank of the Lower Rhine.

"Three new outdoor leisure facilities are being created in Twisteden, Kervenheim and Wetten. Sport brings people together. We are creating a better quality of life and strengthening local coexistence," said Minister Gorißen.

Dr. Dominik Pichler, Mayor of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer: "We are delighted that we can use the approved funding to create new leisure facilities in our towns and villages that are accessible to everyone. Especially here, where people meet to run or walk together, the new fitness trails offer great opportunities to be active in the community and do sport."
