Christine Diepmann has been the new press spokesperson for the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer since April 1, 2025. She is taking over from the previous post holder on parental leave. Born in Kleve, she brings with her extensive experience in Dutch local government and is thus entering new professional territory in her home country.
After completing her bachelor's degree in Corporate Communication, Public Relations and Image Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem and Nijmegen, Diepmann gained her professional experience exclusively in Dutch municipalities and organizations. She spent most of her career in the municipality of Venray (province of Limburg), where she provided communications support to the mayor and aldermen, oversaw projects and set up and managed the social media channels.
Mayor Dr. Dominik Pichler is delighted with the new addition: "In Christine Diepmann, we have found an experienced and competent press spokesperson who will enrich our communications with fresh impetus. Her expertise from the Netherlands is an asset, especially for our cross-border cooperation. This will ensure that communication with our citizens remains close, targeted and open in the future."
The 35-year-old herself is also looking forward to her new role: "I've wanted to work in Germany for a long time. The fact that I can now gain my first professional experience here in Kevelaer is a great stroke of luck. The town has a special atmosphere and I am convinced that I can make a big difference with my previous experience."
Christine Diepmann is now the central contact person for all press organs and coordinates the public relations work of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer with the exception of communication in the areas of tourism & culture and the municipal companies.
