Good news for young volunteers, associations and initiatives in our region: from 5 May 2025, applications for funding can once again be submitted as part of the NRW "2,000 x 1,000 euros for volunteering" program. This year, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia is once again supporting voluntary work with a total of two million euros. The district of Kleve will receive 39,000 euros from this, which means funding for up to 39 projects - a great opportunity for creative projects right here on site.
This year's main theme is: "Committed to the future - promoting young involvement and shaping new projects". A motto that is particularly fitting for a town like Kevelaer, where young people are already involved in many different ways - be it in sports clubs, youth work or cultural initiatives.
Who can take part?
In addition to traditional clubs, loose initiatives, foundations and neighborhood groups are also eligible to apply. Projects that are planned and implemented by young people are supported - regardless of whether it is a new idea in a youth club, a sports program for young people of the same age or a series of workshops to promote volunteering. Training courses or creative activities to recruit new young volunteers are also eligible for funding.
Important: The project must be completed and settled by December 31, 2025.
