The public meeting place in Winnekendonk shines in new splendor. As part of the modernization measures carried out, the indoor air conditions and the technical equipment of the facility were improved.
The previous indoor air conditions no longer met the required hygiene and health standards, especially for larger events. To counteract this, a modern ventilation system was installed. Three ventilation units were installed on the ceiling construction of the meeting place, which ensure effective fresh and exhaust air flow directly via the roof. Thanks to integrated heaters and coolers, which are supplied by a cooling system/heat pump, the room temperature can be heated in winter and cooled in summer.
The ventilation systems were installed in the area of the gable facing the new market square, allowing the technical infrastructure to be optimally integrated into the overall appearance of the meeting place. In addition, modern cooling technology was installed, which is operated via four ceiling cassette units in the ceiling construction. This technology can be used in parallel with the existing heating system, but does not replace the existing heat generator.
Another important part of the modernization is the installation of a photovoltaic system on the south-western roof area of the meeting place. This installation will not only compensate for the additional investment and operating costs, but will also reduce the amount of electricity purchased from the grid operator in the long term. The electricity generated will be used exclusively for the event hall. In order to maximize the self-consumption of the photovoltaic system, a battery system was also installed in the chair cellar.
In addition to the ventilation system, the entire modernization also includes the renewal of the hall and stage lighting, the replacement of the loudspeakers as well as a fresh coat of paint and matching curtains. All of these measures will help to increase the attractiveness of the meeting place and create a modern ambience for future events.
