CITY CYCLING 2025: Pedaling from May 26 to June 15

Last year, over 1.5 million total kilometers were collected in the CITY CYCLING 2024 district-wide. This is the benchmark for this year's edition of the campaign in the district of Kleve. As in previous years, all 16 towns and municipalities in the Kleve district will once again be taking part in 2025. This year's campaign period will take place from May 25 to June 15, 2025 under the motto "Be smart, get on your bike - together for a healthy future".

The aim of CITY CYCLING is to cycle as many everyday journeys as possible in a climate-friendly way for 21 days. If you would like to take part, you can register now at www.stadtradeln.de/kreis-kleve in your local authority area or for the district of Kleve.

The campaign is organized by Klima.Partner im Kreis Kleve, Wirtschaftsförderung Kreis Kleve and ADFC Kreis Kleve. "It's a great sign that all towns and municipalities are once again pedaling together. CITY CYCLING has a firm place in the Kleve district in spring and is already a tradition," says District Administrator Christoph Gerwers. "I think it's good that, in addition to the climate protection aspect, this year's motto also addresses the health aspect: Cycling offers the opportunity to exercise in the fresh air and do something good for body and soul."

At the end of the campaign weeks, the most successful cyclists will be honored. In addition, all participants will be entered into a prize draw for cycling-related prizes - regardless of their individual performance.

The popular school cycling competition is once again taking place nationwide. This competition within the CITY CYCLING is aimed specifically at pupils, but teachers and parents can also pedal. Registration for this takes place at the same time as registration for the CITY CYCLING competition. All you have to do is tick the box to indicate that you also want to take part in the "school bike ride". More information can be found at www.stadtradeln.de/schulradeln-nrw.
