Tourist Information Kevelaer moves to the Solegarten

The boxes are packed and the move is just around the corner. While the tourist information offices in the town hall and the information building at Solegarten St. Jakob previously offered the same tourist services, the information building will now officially become the tourist information office at Solegarten St. Jakob from April 1, 2025. A change that creates synergies, also in terms of organization. By extending the opening hours, locals and guests will be able to make even better use of the range of tourist services and the drinking fountain, which will then be located directly in the Tourist Information. Due to the move, the previous Tourist Information office in the town hall will be closed in the last week of March. From March 24 to 26, 2025, the information building in the Solegarten will be open from 11 am to 4 pm. The corresponding relocation work will also take place here on March 27 and 28 as well as March 31 and April 1, which is why the premises there will then be closed. From April 2, the tourism team will be available again with the usual range of services and during the new opening hours.

Wide range of tourist attractions

All (health) tourism and cultural offers are covered, including ticket sales, the sale of KevelaerCards and merchandise as well as the booking and invoicing of guided tours. The parking spaces around the Solegarten will continue to be available free of charge for visitors. "We are thus creating an optimally equipped tourist information center and covering the needs of our guests and Kevelaer residents in the best possible way," says Verena Rohde, Business Development Manager and Head of Kevelaer Marketing, confidently. "Of course, we also want to make guests aware of the need to visit the city centre and the pilgrimage sites, as our focus will continue to be on promoting and marketing both locations," adds Andrea Kirk, Head of Tourism. To this end, public institutions, restaurants and stores in the city center will also be equipped with brochure displays. This is an important aspect in order to introduce customers and guests to the one or other retail outlet or even an as yet unknown restaurant.
