Purpose of data processing

The purpose of the data processing is to provide a newsletter service for the comprehensive information of persons about current topics of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer. The purpose of collecting the e-mail address is to deliver the newsletter. In order to prevent possible misuse of the newsletter, the "double opt-in" procedure is used. In this case, registration for the newsletter must be confirmed twice. Your personal data to be processed in this context are earmarked, i.e. they are only used for the purpose for which they were collected.

Main legal basis

Your personal data is processed on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR.

By confirming this data protection declaration, you give the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer your consent to the necessary processing of your personal data. Without your consent, it is unfortunately not possible to send you the newsletter. You can revoke this consent at any time in whole or in part without giving reasons for the future.

Recipients and categories of recipients of the data

Your data will only be processed by Department 1.1 in accordance with data protection legislation. Personal data will not be transferred to third countries. In addition to the data requested during the registration process, the respective IP numbers and the time of registration are also stored during registration, confirmation, updating and deletion of the registration data in order to be able to trace possible misuse.

Duration of storage and retention periods

Your personal data collected as part of this process will be stored for the period necessary for the lawful fulfillment of the tasks. Your personal data will be deleted when you unsubscribe from the newsletter.

Rights of the data subject

Your rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data transfer and objection regarding the personal data collected are expressly pointed out at this point. The legal basis for this is Articles 15 to 21 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and Sections 49 and 50 of the NRW State Data Protection Act.
