Purpose of data processing

The purpose of data processing is to monitor parking spaces in the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer. Your personal data to be processed in this context is earmarked, i.e. it is only used for the purpose for which it was collected.

Main legal basis

Your personal data is processed on the following legal basis:

Article 6 para. 1 b or e/ § 13 para. 1 sentence 1 and para. 3 StVO/ Fee schedule for parking ticket machines in the area of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer (parking fee schedule) of March 6, 2023. Based on the above legal bases, you are obliged to provide your personal data (vehicle license plate number) for the purpose of monitoring parking time.

Recipients and categories of recipients of the data

Your data is earmarked for a specific purpose and will only be used in accordance with data protection legislation or passed on to ght GmbH, Schafhofstraße 2, 90411 Nuremberg, which receives and evaluates the data as part of commissioned data processing. The Stadtkasse Kevelaer receives your data when processing cashless payments. If necessary, your data will only be passed on within the framework of data protection law (e.g. fine proceedings).

Duration of storage and retention periods

Your personal data collected as part of this process will be stored for the period necessary for the lawful fulfillment of the tasks. Thereafter, this data will be stored for a further 3 years due to further archiving requirements. After this period has expired, the personal data will be irretrievably deleted unless longer storage is required for special reasons.

Rights of the data subject

Your rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data transfer and objection regarding the personal data collected are expressly pointed out at this point. The legal basis for this is Articles 15 to 21 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and Sections 49 and 50 of the NRW State Data Protection Act.
