I would like to switch to NiersEnergie GmbH, what do I have to do?
We will be happy to help you switch providers. Come to us at the water tower with your last annual bill. We will fill out the contract with you and take care of everything else. Or you can use our contract form, which you can find in the online form area. Fill it in and send it to us and we will do the rest for you.
I would like advice, do I need an appointment?
We are available for consultation during our office hours. You do not need an appointment.
Electric heating is installed in my apartment/house. What do I need to consider when registering for electricity?
If your apartment or house has several meters, a separate contract must be concluded for each meter. In contrast to normal household electricity, where the number of people is decisive for the amount charged, the number of square meters is important here. We are happy to assume average consumption at the start of the supply. An adjustment will be made after the first annual bill. Your personal consumption will be used for the new budget billing calculation.
I have moved house and would like to be supplied by NiersEnergie GmbH in the new premises. Am I tied to the old supplier?
In order to receive a final bill from your previous supplier for the old apartment, please inform them of the meter reading after you have moved out.

With the confirmation that we may supply you in the future, you will also receive a form from us on which you should note the meter reading yourself on the changeover date. Please send us this form as soon as possible.
Can there be an interruption in the power supply on the day I switch to NiersStrom?
No, there will be no interruption to the power supply. You will not notice the change in your household.
I would like to change my deductions. What do I have to do?
Just give us a call or send us a short e-mail. We will then change the discounts to the amount you require.
Please note: If the discounts are set too low, you may have to make an additional payment as part of the annual invoice.The number of people in my household has changed. Does this have to be reported?
If you purchase normal household electricity from us, it is advantageous for you to notify us of the change in the number of persons. We can then adjust the discounts to the new number of people. This will prevent you from having to make a potentially high additional payment as part of your annual bill.
My bank details have changed. How can I let you know?
You are welcome to inform us of your new bank details in writing by e-mail. Or you can use the form for the Sepa direct debit mandate.
I have received a meter reading card from Westnetz/a meter reader on behalf of the network operator wants to read my meter. Is this correct?
Yes, that is correct. Westnetz is the owner of the electricity grid and has the duty and the right to check the electricity grid regularly. This is done either by an employee who contacts you personally. Or you will receive a card on which you can note the current meter reading and send it to Westnetz.
Do I have to take the meter reading for the annual bill myself?
You will receive a meter reading card from us at the end of the year. Please fill this out yourself at the end of the year and send it to us.
What happens if I do not provide a meter reading at the end of the year for the annual invoice?
If we do not receive a meter reading from you, we will estimate the reading at the turn of the year based on previous consumption.
The meter reading at the end of the year was estimated too high/too low. What now?
In this case, please send us a short letter/e-mail with your customer number and the correct meter reading as soon as you receive the annual bill. We will then correct the annual bill.
When will I receive my annual invoice?
You will receive the annual invoice at around the end of January of the following year.
By the way: Due to the preparation of the annual invoices, no advance payment is due in January.I need a copy of the annual invoice. What do I do now?
