Reduce heating costs in the fall

It's pretty uncomfortable outside! To keep as much heat as possible in the house in these temperatures and thus save on heating costs, we have some simple tips.

  • Close the roller shutters in the entire home as soon as it gets dark. This is because a layer of air forms between the slats and the window, which insulates against the cold.
  • Thick curtains that are closed in front of a cold window also help to reduce the feeling of cold. But be careful: under no circumstances should the curtains cover the radiator. Because then the warm air cannot spread through the room.
  • This also applies to furniture placed directly in front of the heating. It's better to move the sofa away from the heater so that you get more of the heat produced.
  • Draught excluders in front of leaky windows or doors prevent warm air from escaping to the outside and cold air from entering.
